Nay. Maybe on bigger cars but thats it, definitely not on wee sooped up ned mobiles, like the thing I saw this morning. A D-reg Nova, big exhaust, tinted windows and a home-made spoiler no less! It was a bit of plywood and 2 bits of 2 by 4, all nailed on to the roof, P*ssed myself laughing for ages!
