Oh yeah. Forgot to say - Vic and Stead and I went to see I,Robot at the weekend. It was very good. The robot dude was excellent (although somewhat derivative of HAL9000). If you hate Will Smith though, you're gonna hate this movie!
I saw this last night as well and was quite pleasantly surprised. I was expecting and enormous pile of s***e but it was .... reasonable.
I'll go no further than "reasonable" because it wasn't a patch on Asimov's tale. I noticed that the credits said "suggested by" rather than "based on" ... which is just as well, or I would have been fuming!
Will Smith had some good lines ... the robots came striaght from Star Wars IV .... Dr Calvin was nice to look at. Passed the time anyway.
I might be able to take my son if it is - it's the only way I get to see films these days. Trouble is you can't dissect the film so enjoyably on the way home as with older company.
Aye, well it was a good movie, but if ye ask me big Wullie should've just pulled the robot's effin' batteries out at the start of the movie, I mean, it was only a blinkin' robot!
it was enjoyable i thought, but too predictable, at least it advertised products in a somewhat tongue in cheek manner
However,i went to see dodgeball last week and it was effing hilarious - its a 12a but i aint sure that its that suitable really but seriously though, go and see it
Chronicles of riddick on the other hand was pants- good cgi, good action scenes but the plot was friggin awful, and the dialoge, sheesh!
The JD King and I saw Dodgeball recently and I agree it is a real find - nothing in the trailer suggested it would be that funny - "your as much use as a cock flavoured lolly pop" - one of the great lines - certainly shouldnt have been 12A though - but thats just the standard rating given to everything these days
Lets face it you see worse than the old "15" rating on the news most days - the last few days for definate!
