Nothing specific

Just posting cuz i can

Was at Jujitsu for the first time last nite, I caved to the pleadings of an 11yr old girl. It wasnt bad if im honest. If you hold me at gun point in theory i should know how to disarm you, similarly if you strangle me from the front as well i should b able to get out of it. I wasnt sore when i woke up either but now i can feel a stiffness in my shoulders

Oh and DD i have burned The BCW gig for yah so it should be posted sometime this weekend

Was it this bit?

"The mother of an Ulster-born Olympian today claimed that she moved from Northern Ireland to South Africa to get away from bigotry."

More importantly - how was the cow going to kill members of the public?  I would think that the worst it could do is moo in a threatening manner!

I have a strange image in my mind now:

(No apologies for it's crapness - it took about 2 minutes in paint!

Thats a good image!

Ive got news!!

Two letters arrived at home (my home home not my belfast home as this address is somewhat subject to change ). One from queens university and the other from the civil service. Not expecting to hear from the civil service ti the end of september i told my da to open that one first. Lo and behold it was a job offer!! Yay one weight of my mind. Still in a giddy state after the good news i got my dad to open the queens one. It wasnt as good - didnt get the job but im on a waiting list incase anything else turns up in the next 6 months. Who cares, i got me a gov'ment job! yay!!

Oh and while i was up sorting out something in my current job (im still working through an agency here but ive got the permanent post via interview etc) the stuff for the new post here just landed on my desk - all the blah blah blah, happy to confirm blah blah blah - however i havent accepted it yet. Have to wait til monday to talk to my boss before i sort anything out with them. Im thinking it would be better to stay on as agency for as long as possible until i start in the civil service - they have pre employment stuff to go through which they said could take up to several weeks

But anyway: yay!

Cool about the job!  Nice one!

Regarding the cow:  why is it any time an animal escapes from a meat plant/slaughterhouse/etc & gets killed it's always portrayed as a big tragedy?  Oh no!  Boo Hoo!  This animal that was about to be killed just got.........................................................(wait for it)................................................................................................................ killed!  Let's face it, it probably lived a little bit longer & had far more fun than it was meant to!

Well there's the loss of all that revenue to consider.  I understand cows are changing hands for almost £5 these days.

Hmmm, true.  You'd think really they could have used a stun gun on it, then killed it back at the knackers really, bit of a wate of a cow if you just shoot it.

Depends.  If she made it to the High Street, think of the saving on transportation to the butchers.
