Ah - this could turn into quite a debate! 


Please let me reassure our ex-colonial friends that their spelling of the words Color and favorite and any other word that has been simplified to save time on Sesame street is quite legitimate. They are free to spell words however they like, it doesnt matter how silly people think they are.

They do live in the Land Of The Free.  And that applies to spelling as well.  We let them win the War of Independence so that they were free to spell stuff wrong, drive on the wrong side of the road and so on.  It was sort of like giving up on a problem child, you know...
