OK, so i had an interview yesterday (hence my complete lack of posting, as opposed to my usual sporadic posting), and they asked me what would happen to all my projects at the Mater (the name of the hospital where i work) if i was to leave. I kinda thought about it for a couple of seconds and I had to truthfully answer: "They would get shelved until someone else with the necessary skills came along and was able to continue developing them. Ive documented everything to the best of my ability(ok, this is stretching the truth just a little bit) but I am the only programmer in the hospital at present." It was nice to realise that im a little bit indespensible - and then i realised that i aint gonna get paid that much despite being indespensible - work sux!
I know the feeling. I may not be an IT Guru but for some reason I'm considered to be The Expert In All Things IT. I whish they'd pick on Susan for a change...

i had an interview yesterday too (must be the week for it.. my sister has one tomorrow and her man had one yesterday as well) .. anyway - it's a 'lots of rounds, intense training scheme and final exams' kind of a job.. first interview yesterday and today i found out i'm into the round numero 2.. woohoo (that being 2 actual days of working for the company for no money and at stinky shifts.. ahh the company car shall be worth it)
