well i couldnt get signed up to aventuremail at all..


 


but has anyone noticed - yahoo have just had an overhaul and now are giving 100mb of space.. and letting you send much bigger attachments


i mean it's not 2gig, but i'll give them a hug anyway

100 MB? Hmmm, that's pretty large never-the-less, much better than my crapola 2mb hotmail, which has been busy all day!

Ok I'm bringing back an old topic cuz...


ARGH!


I had used my hotmail address on a title insurance board figuring if I got spam from it, who cares? It's hotmail. So... I get a response from a potential client, type a long reply, hit send and VOILA...


THE SERVER IS TOO BUSY!


So now I don't know if the email was sent or not and, like an idiot, I have to send an email to the new client saying "Uhm, Kev? Buddy? Did you get that last email?"

PS:   I have two GM vehicles:  a 1986 Silverado pick-up truck equipped with the detonate-on-impact fuel tanks, and a 1996 Blazer that is programmed not to exceed 95 MPH.  I have solved this problem by making sure that my wife and I are never on the highway at the same time.

Microsoft's Hotmail Takes Aim At GMail
Joining the ranks of Yahoo, Ask Jeeves, UK Lycos and others, Microsoft's
Hotmail is increasing storage space for both paying and non-paying customers in
answer to Google's GMail.
As of July, non-paying customers will get 250MB (instead of 2MB) of storage
space and paying customers will get two gigabytes.
The new service, which will be named "Hotmail Plus", will cost $19.95 per
year.

It is thought that 500,000 pages of messages can be kept on one gigabyte of
hard drive space.

haha.. i wonder what they're going to do about the 60 junk mails i get a day?

Also, I read the following in an article:

Blake Irving, a corporate vice president with Microsoft's MSN online division, said the company had not heard that customers were eager to bulk up storage on Hotmail accounts. But, he said, amid the attention surrounding e-mail storage, the company did not want competitors to have an edge with larger storage capacities.

"Our users haven't cared about storage and we just wanted to take it off the table," he said.

What the hell is this guy smoking? It can't be street legal... No, people don't want to email pictures, and have their accounts not crash out from 4 spam messages.
