i just tried to form a sentence with the word 'eleemosynary' (today's word of the day) (which i have never ever ever even heard a whisper of) .. but honestly.. i couldnt do it.. there just isn't a sentence worth saying with that word in it

has anyone EVER heard that word before?

I think you're being rather un-eleemosynary to the word.  You should use it at chuggers, see what they say.
