Worked for Harold, though.

I even bought him this stuff when I was starving on my College budget/lack of income!

Katie, I know bad, bad things about Iams, but i'm not sure I should tell, you, it might upset you!  (Not in the bad things happening to your puppy way, obviously I'd tell you that!)

Shadow eats Wagg.  It the cheapest dry food I've found.  He loves it!  He's about 10, but people tend to be suprised he's not younger when I tell them.

Oh thank you for bringing this up. I was going to... but I didn't want to upset anyone either.

Come to think of it, the bloody dog was eating better than I was!!

Not anymore though, for my lunch, I am current having an Italian Special Sub with genoa salami and oil.

It is.  Although I do have to specify (if I can spell it!) vivisection, as it'd be a bit dumb to not do any animal testing on dog food!

I thought it was because they made the food out of babies.

so, what you're telling me is they didnt get a selection of cats and dogs and sit them around a table with a nice glass of cat/dog wine in crystal glasses for each of them and a large serving of IAMS dog/cat food on expensive china and then ask them for their opinions?

Kinda reminds me of Whiskas. 9 out of 10 cats expressed a preference. Now to be honest the only thing my cat ever expresses is her utter disdain for whatever food we put in front of her before buggering off for 8 or 9 hours of the day, probably to be fed tit bits from all the old biddies on the estate.

Many dog food companies have tested on animals, but so far Iams is the only one who feels the need to vivisect these anmals. Others food companies have included palatability studies along with health and wellness studies in conjunction with the best breeders and doctors in the business and have proven themselves to be food of the highest quality... without silcing open an unanesthatized, live animal.

And the quality of the food has gone to hell. Since P&G took over, they have put preservatives in the food so it can be sold on the grocery store shelves (which is why 10 years ago you could only buy Iams at pet stores, but now can buy it everywhere from the local grocers to walmart) and have started using lesser quality ingredients which cause urine crystals, kidney stones along with other health related issues. They have also added extra carbohydrates which cause severe allergies in some dogs, along with digestive issues and diabetes.

I feed my dog Purina One

Probably just as bad as far as preservatives go as Iams

it's labeling laws... there are certain preservatives they dont have to list as preservatives..
