Baked Stuffed Chicken

When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people, like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN
6-7 lb. chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT)

Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds. When the chicken's ass blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across the room, it is done.

Mmmm, baked stuff chicken...

Yup.  Note the low fat popcorn.  This is important if you don't wanna pile on the pounds!

Yeah, nevermind that you're spreading butter all over this thing!

Yes, but only a cupful.  And on that very point...

I've often wondered "How big does a cup have to be before it becomes a mug?"

While this is damn funny, it's, conceptually, off a bit...

If the arse of the bird is pointed towards the door, as I understand it, it would blow the door open, but the thrust would actually force the bird to move towards the back of the oven, not across the room. You might get some popcorn overflow, but you shouldn't see a flying bird...

Still, I'm on board with the commentary.

So you're saying that cups are shapely whilst mugs are straight up and down?

Isn't that a bit 'mugist'?

isn't a 'cup' a measurement and a 'mug' just a great big yummy piece of shaped plastic/ceramic/pottery/metal etc.. that can hold liquids and be drunk outta?

Ah the mug / cup debate.

So if cup is a measurement, are we to asume that there is also a unit called the saucer?

A cup is both a measurement and a dainty version of a mug; mugs are muggy.

Hot drinks should only ever be served in mugs. Cups are just too small and dainty.
