The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
So, I would normally smoke around 20 cigarettes/day. For seven days, starting today, I intend to smoke no more than 15 cigarettes/day. The next week, 10 cigarettes/day. The next week, 5/cigarettes day. The week after, maybe 1/day or none, pending... After that, gonzo!!
You're kind of fubar anyway... The only way to quit smoking is to quit nicotine, period. There is a chemical response, it's strongest around day-3, then your brain realizes that something is missing and compensates...
This is because it takes three days for you to flush nicotine, I'm on day three of my weaning and I notice it, but tomorrow will be better. The trick is, as you drop off, is to survive day-3 when your reservoir is gone, then you're in like Flynn as the body will compensate, somewhat.
heh. Joel is absolutely right dude. It'll do you no good at all. Even cold turkey will be shite, though - although you'll get a far better and quicker result. The book on the other hand will bypass all the nasty stuff. I know this to be true. Ask Stead.
He might be for most, but not for me. Yesterday, 12 cigarettes. Keep in mind I would normally smoke ~25 smokes per day when I think about it, so I'm already running at half-dosage and not really hurting too bad. In fact, I feel pretty good. I'm not waking up quite as groggy and I'm more attentive, even with just scaling back...
I think he might be right about the 1-cig a day drop for someone who smokes 40 cigarettes a day, that takes a long time, and your body never really settles on a consistent dose, because, there's no consistency.
My attack is quite different, in fact. Three consistent, substantial, yet manageable cuts, where I give my body three chances to adjust to new intake levels. I believe in doing so that my physical addiction problems will be minimized and this gives me the greatest chance for success.
Book or not, there is a physical dependency, and I have no chance of success, I just don't, with going cold turkey. The other reason this works for me, is that it allows me some time to become very disciplined about when and how much I smoke, something I have never been, while I'm not in physical anguish, gettting in this habbit will serve me well.
Good luck, anyway, dude. Maybe you should have some money riding on it. You said that makes you play like a pro, why shouldn't it help you quit like a pro!
