I had an aptitude test for the silly service yesterday morning - two hours of bollox hard pattern recognition - structured reasoning and logical thinkning all designed to make me a quivering wreck - then I went shopping, dragged along a female to make sure i left with more than just cds and books - only managed to purchase two of each - shopped harder than i have in my whole life - by the end of the 2 odd hours i had tried on about 20 shirts, 12 pairs of trousers/jeans and various tshirts and stuff - then i had to work at 7 that nite.
In work at the minute and for some reason my systems all work perfectly on my computer but when i go to install them on the computers of the people who will be using them they go tits up for no reason
I with you, Joe. My databases work fine on my company standard build pc which is identical to every other company standard build pc - until I try to use the database on someone else's company standard build pc which is identical to everyone elses company standard build pc.
Of course, in certain circumstances, tits-up can be considered a good thing!
I managed not to spend any money at lunch time today, although the new PS2 transformers game was tempting. I think the three dvds I bought yesterday in the super duper Virgin mega sale were more than enough...
Opened a bottle of wine (cheap one - but as I made bolognese I needed some white wine to put in it - didn't want to waste good stuff - that and I usually drink red wine). It was called Old Pig or Wild Pig or something like that. I think it was named after it's flavour.
No more drinking for ages - had a wee bit too much over the weekend also found nemo twice as well
Got a bad bottle of wine on friday - very dissapointing after the first one had been so luvelry so then had to switch to vodka - which then told us that making a fruit punch would be a good idea, but the vodka was lonely so we put gin and bacardi breezer into it as well It was nice though - til the next morning when i had to get the bus home, and get ready to do it all again that nite.
Thankfully i used to work in the bar i was drinking in so when i asked for nine vodkas at last orders it was ok
