The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
Here it is, Ladies and Gents. The event of the decade. The thing you've been waiting for all your lives. Yes, my friends, the Origin Of Love music video is now complete and available for your delectation.
For those newer peeps that aren't familiar with the background to this tune, The Origin of Love was selected in our first Great JDBB Song vote a year or so ago and was recorded by Stead and Hengle. The song itself is by a chap called Stephen Trask from a show called Hedwig and the Angry Inch about an ill tempered german transsexual. Don't ask. The song is a bit odd, but is perfectly family friendly. Honest.
This is my first proper Flash project, and I'm quite pleased with the result (although now I'm bloody sick of the song). I have had one or two minor timing issues between the music track and the toon as it all goes screwey once it goes online, but I've tested it and got Stead to test it too, and it seems ok. If it goes out of sync... all I can say is... sorry. And, er, that it's your own fault!
Thank you to those dudes and dudettes that supplied a photo. You all have cameos, albeit small ones this time round. Gotta say, guys - when you're all together like this, you are a scary, scary bunch!
It's about a 6 meg download, so it'll take a few minutes on broadband. You'll need Flash player 6 or higher to watch (which you can get here if you don't have it).
Left to right, the Magnificent Dame... er Damo (AKA Batman O'Leary), the Lovely Jackie (AKA Aodan) and the Ultra-Cool Nate-Mate himself (AKA... er... NateO)!

hmmm....is it broke?
Seems fine to me.

Surprised to only see 3 angels, though?
Yeah. I do have a handful of pictures of other Dodgers around, but on the basis that they didn't tell me I could use em, I didn't. I'm a gent like that!
Aye. Twas fine on the preview, but went all screwey when it went online. Basserd. Any hints and tips you have on keeping things synched would be greatly appreciated.-- Edited by ddvmor at 07:11, 2005-11-22
Not really mate ... it's one of two things, either the frame rate needs marginal tweaking or the mp3 is kicking off a touch late. Could be due to the download factor, make sure you check everything is fully downloaded before play starts (could kind of force that with a "start" button). The latter seems most likely if it runs fine on your machine but not on the web as you don't have to download anything.
Failing that just tweak the frame rate up by 1 ... might bring it back into line.
Good plans, all. Took me a while to figure out the preloader - I'll look into start buttons later. The mp3 starts at the right time, as evidenced by the synching of the lips in the first chorus; it's only after that that it seems to go peculiar, so the frame rate thing might work too. I'll try both.
Very nice. I'll have to send you a pretty picture of me as to be involved in the next one.
... on second thought, never mind what I said and edited out. I'm particularly impressed with how several people's efforts were quite seamlessly combined. If you would like a contribution of my meager musical talents, let me know.
