The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
I used to like David Caruso when he was in NYPD Blue, but I just found him kinda annoying in CSI.
Another thing that annoys me about the CSI shows is that, like most cop shows these days, the charaters spend their entire time doing stuff that's other people's jobs, making illegal searches, improperly arresting people, failing to follow due process or respect the rights of suspects in any way... and they never get fired. Ever. What's up with that?

That's another one I've never seen although I've heard of it...The show is unrealistic in that it leaves the impression that all the procedures used and the compressed timelines are standard in the business...I like all the twists and turns in the plot and character presentations......Ben

Have you read the books that GoT is based on? If you can get past Martin's need to filled 50 pages at a stretch with descriptions of house banners, then it's actually a really fantastic series ;) I'm just finally reading book 5.
I was told by everyone to watch Community, and I watched a bunch of episodes but I just couldn't get into it.
I have decided that I really like Raising Hope and The New Girl. House is coming to an end this season, and I hate to say it but I think it's time. It's losing it's edge and the new doctor women they brought on -- the tattle tale and the "token Asian" -- are getting tiresome. I long for the original team.
I got the DVDs from Netflix of the first season of Big Bang Theory which everyone tells me is great, but the DVD drive in my laptop crapped the bed and as we only have one television in the house, I am vetoed most of the time. I'll watch it eventually.
Ihaven't read GOT, but I might, now. I have a vacancy coming up in my reading schedule.
I like New Girl. Mostly because Zooey Deschanel is very, very, very, very, very, very, very hot.
The Big Bang Theory is awesome, although like most sit-coms that get more than about 3 seasons in, it's starting to turn into a soap opera. Still funny though. Sheldon Cooper is one of my heroes.
Ben - did you ever watch Homicide: Life on the Street? It's my all time favourite cop show.
Have just discovered The Bridge. It's the Swedes again proving the point that they can make detective drama so good that you don't care about the subtitles. Some nice atmospheric filming too.

A lot of excellent stuff comes out of Scandinavia (and Finland). Unfortunately, we seem to like to remake it rather than import it. It's rarely as good.

While that is true I would not be watching The Bridge & would never have got into Wallander, had there not been the Kenneth Branagh remake. Whilst I enjoyed the English version, the writing & in particular the acting put our attempts to shame. I'm hoping that more will be imported in future. WhW
Edit: WhW? WTF? Where did that appear from? My post is haunted!

House really disappointed. No Cuddy? Bah. I was not impressed.
GoT is fantastical even if they are changing huge chunks of the story. I'm going to be sad when this season is over, but then it's time for True Blood!

I just finished the first book and was pretty amazed at how close the show was to it. I'll start the next one soon. I have an interim book that's been hanging around though.
I have always loved Avatar: The Last Airbender, simply the greatest animated TV show ever made and probably in the top ten shows ever made, ever! Brilliant. Unfortunately, it also spawned the awful The Last Airbender movie, which is the one that everyone will remember!
Lucky for me, the original cartoon got a sequel: The Legend of Korra. I've watched the first four or five episodes and, so far, it's fricking brilliant! In just a handful of episodes, it's displayed better scripts, better direction and better performances than most live action shows on TV. It's captured the spirit of the original whilst doing something entirely different with the concepts.
Set in a pseudo-20's style city, there's a growing rebellion by 'normal' people against the Benders, a section of the population who have magic elemental powers and tend to have a highe position society. Korra, a bender who, unlike most benders who can only use one element, can use all four elements and is a sort of vague superhero/messiah figure, arrives in the city to train with the son of the hero of the original series. And then generally makes a nuisance of herself!
Of course, here in the UK, 'Bender' is a a derogatory term for 'Gay', so it adds an alternating layer of hilarity and horrific homophobia to lines like 'You're the greatest Bender in the world' and 'All the Benders must die!'
I've also been watching Blue Bloods which is a proper cop show with none of the gimmicks and nonsense of recent years. I'm only a few episodes in, but so far it's pretty good. Magnum PI is in it.
Looking forward to The Newsroom, the new series by Arron Sorkin that starts here in a couple fo weeks and which will hopefully last a bit longer than the excellent Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.
Re. the newsroom - I think I'm going to need some kind of public service announcement from you to remind me to tape that, you know, because you're awesome etc
