I just looked it up on IMDB. Seems it was released primarily in the UK. The Atlantic was effectively much bigger in 1954 when this movie came out.

I thought everybody knew the Dambusters.  Especially the theme.  The bit that goes "Daaa da da da dadada da daaa da da da dadada da daaaa da da da daaaa da da da da da da da daaaaaaaaaaa"

I'm a bit stuck.  Presumably it's a war movie...

Yes it is a war film. You're getting warm.

Is your vending machine working again?

Nope, it's more of a classic.

The subs are meant to be rather small.

Most of them have to be downloaded I think.

The ship was the Tirpitz and the film was "Above Us, The Waves" it was all about midget submarines. That's not submarines for midgets though.

I don't know why everyone was using attachments. I like using photobucket and posting the pic in line with the thread, makes lazy people (people like me) more apt to reply

It's true.  We were just being lazy.  The pictures shouldn't take any longer to download than if they were being posted in the thread, though.  They certainly don't take very long for me.  (Except that I'm suffering my Dad's dial up connection at the moment.  It hurts.)

And Joe...  It only counts as a classic if the JDK has heard of it.  And he hasn't.
