I know its not for a few days yet, but I turned my hand to carving the kids' pumpkin, and Im well chuffed with the result! (attached)

I'm just hoping the kids actually show up this year.


From what I hear, around here they make it a big deal to the kids that if someone has their porch light out, you don't go to their door. Well last year I go out and buy lots of candy thinking I'm in an apartment complex with lots of kids, I'm sure to get hit up... and what do I see when I arrive home from the store? My porch light burned out. Unfortunately it's not one I can replace myself (the building manager has to do it) so there I was sitting there with a bunch of candy and only me to eat it. Not a happy camper.


But I know if I don't buy candy this year, every kid in the world will show up at my door since I don't have control of the porch light and can't turn it off.

I never seem to get 'em anyway.  Then again my house is an odd rear access design, so unless you know where the front door is, you're kinda stuffed!
