Holy she-ite did it drop last night! There was a manhole flying up in the air and water shooting straight up out of the sewer there was so much bloody rain last night.

About a dozen houses in Inver Grove Heights were affected after a pond overflowed, and shallow waters covered lawns and lapped at some homes.



Wow.  They really know how to make it sound dramatic!  That lapping sounds terrible!


How's your sister doing?  Much damage?

She's okay, could've been worse. The water was flowing into her basement from the window wells and apparently some was coming in from the electrical circuits, which is generally roof related.


The water mostly stuck to the outer fringes of the basement, she's not sure how the carpeting will fair after a thorough steam-cleaning...


Still can't believe that manhole, there was water shooting five straight-up into the air!!
