Rejected Sun Microsystems ads - geeky but funny

Anyone seen the new ads that Sun tried to run but the big publications refused?

...................

I guess this is to promote their new 64 bit Solaris systems. Dell is their main competitor in this market.

Gotta admit, I kinda like em too.

My dad had an old Classic that he was gonna chuck away, but I rescued it.  It's so cool, with it's 9 inch monochrome screen and one-button mouse!

We had a bunch of those and Macintosh's at my grade school (circa 1990). Apple was big into school donations at the time (trying to stem the "IBM's" as they used to be called (Windows)) Anyway we see how that worked out. They were almost like drug dealers trying to get you hooked early.

Dont get me wrong for Video and music work they rock - but apart from that they are horribly over priced and have limited software availability - look back over history and all those machines with those 2 problems perished -

Indeed Apple almost did too until Microsoft came along and bought 49% of them because otherwise they would have had a complete monopoly which would have hurt them more financially than paying to keep their competitor alive -

Its a crazy world...

But are still cool, despite that...  Even the old, old ones!
