Sharon's most productive day

Today I have:

Failed to get my modem to work downstairs

Finally got it to work upstairs, only to find I can no longer see the icons or smillies here, which I have failed to fix

     Burnt my finger

Dropped a work-surface on my foot (no, kitchen sink still not installed!)

Discovered my pressure washer isn't working, failed to fix it

Been unable to get the pond pump working

I am now sulking, and I can't even see an appropriate smilie!

How about this , this or this .

I can sympathise greatly with your plight.  I, too have had a very unfortunate day where I was  forced to play with my Eyetoy while Vic cooked me a a roast turkey dinner.  It was very stressful!

and now I type a reply & it disappears, not once, but twice!

Lovely pictures I'm sure, still sulking.

It may be too subtle for our less sensitive Jammie members to notice, but I note faint undertones of discontent in Sharon's postings today.  I suspect (and I may be wrong) that she is, perhaps, having a slightly less enjoyable day than she hoped for.

Well we'll just need a nice strong man to fix it for us then!

Poor Sharon. I feel your pain.

It is most definitely a girl thing - I am also completely without smilies, avatars and toolbars and anything else at all that couldn't be called text. Great!

And despite also enjoying the same delicious roast turkey dinner as someone not so very far away, I am tired and miserable and not smiling in the slightest - partly because it took me four and a half hours to get to sleep last night, (and that was only after I'd moved into the spare room on the camp bed) and partly because of something else. Huh.

D'you think we'd feel better if we all sat in a corner, munching our easter eggs & pulling faces at the boys?

You mean you got Easter eggs? Huh, I feel even worse now.  <:eveileye: I'll have to steal some of the children's.>

Hang on, then I'll feel guilty as well as tired and miserable and upset and frustrated. Bugger. Looks like no chocolate for me.

I wish I could type properly - it's a bit tricky with a wrist splint on though!

But yes, making faces at the boys would definitely make me feel slightly better, particularly making faces at the one whose avatar I can still see.

You can share my egg!  Tell you what, we'll get some Jammie Dodgers too, just to make Darren jealous, & some Jaffa Cakes, 'cos to be honest, they taste better.

I'm with you girl!  <Aww, a new friend. I'm touched>

Not sure what I can bring to the table, but I'm up for making DD jealous. Mind you, he probably won't read this for days just like he doesn't with other things, he's such a busy boy!

Mmmmm jaffa cakes.

I'm off to the graden centre to buy some, er, plants. See you soon, Bud.

Plants?  Wrist in a splint?  Is that a good combo or will you just be supervising?  Meant to ask, what did you do to your wrist?

It's Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (a pain in the wrist which travels up the arm and down into the fingers). I'm usually fine and don't suffer too much, but excessive or repeated wrist movement <DON'T LAUGH> can bring it on.
Unfortunately, "this week I have been mostly doing gardening" or relandscaping the front gardens to be more precise! You know, cutting the turf off, turning over the soil, leveling the ground, humping 38 bags of slate around...

ohh poor you susan - i'm investigating the use of a prodcut called the 'power ball' - when i say investigating, i'm waiting for my boyfriend to tell me whether it works or not - i'll fill you in..

as for me, i've had sciatica for the past over-a-year, which being that i'm 22, is a tad bit unnecessary, the only thing that makes me feel better is sitting in the corner eating easter eggs and pulling faces at boys.. OHH sharon! i'm coming over to join you

<psst i actually didnt get any either>

Ahh, poor KT, just to add to the poor Sharon & poor Susan.

The powerball sounds interesting, but I'll stick to the offer of a shared easter egg for now! I'll bring fatty coke & a dvd.  Love Actually or Gladiator?

Can't stand Russel Crowe, so can we have Love Actually please?  Would people prefer red wine or Baileys, or shall I just bring both?

Ahhhh, went to edit & it didn't show my original post, hope it's not in twice now!

Just realised I'd forgotten to express any sympathy for Susan or Katie, I mean the sympathy was there just forgot to type it!  All I can say is ooowwwww!  Have some chocolate!

Don't worry Sharon, I knew you were there, feeling the pain with me.

Make mine a large red wine, followed by Baileys, chilled, but no ice.  Could start with Brandy and lemonade as an aperatif, though.  Babycham will do instead of the lemonade if you're a little low.

What about some comfy pillows to lounge on, girls, hmm?

And some nice smelly candles?

This is shaping up for a good evening...

Hey girls, is this reason enough to make faces at the King? <correct answer here: >

Cider's great.  But not that Diamond White stuff - it gives me a funny taste in the pit of my stomach. Blackthorn's good.

Darren - don't think the change of subject gets you off the hook.  I'm still waiting...

I have cider in my fridge & can't stand the stuff - consider it yours!

Susan, you know how to have a good night in!  Do you think Darren should babysit for you?  And yes, Darren, what was wrong with your day with Susan?  Huh?

Who's the lucky guy?

At this point in time, I can see everyone's avatar on every page, all smilies, even after clearing my cache, zero exceptions.
