My bedroom window has a broken hinge; there's an inch wide gap around the top; the insurance won't cover it; the only repair place to answer their phone tell me they wouldn't risk securing it, only replacing, and they'd not be able to do that before January. It's quite cold outside, as you'd expect with 18 inches of snow. :(
