Vic's Dinner

Right peeps, I need your help here.

I couldn't take Vic out to dinner last night cos she was busy being a cleaning lady, so I'm taking her out tonight.

Problem is, she's being a pain in the @rse and can't make up her mind what she fancies.  So I need your recommendations.  Should we have:

a) Indian (my personal favourite)

b) Chinese

c) Italian

d) Steak

e) Other (please specify)

If we weren't talking about British beef, I'd say D... C.

Too late.  You all took too long and now we've booked to go here!

By the way, Nate.  There's nowt wrong with British beef that ain't wronger with French beef!  We have scottish beef round here anyway!

From your avatar, I'd put you down as a bit of a pork man, anyway!

It’s one of my more endearing qualities. D. may very well be the Jammie king, but I am king of the typo.

However, there is no typo in vagitarian, ‘tis an accurate description of my palette.

Ok.  We went to The Old Bowl Inn in Lower Almondsbury (nice olde worldy pub in a tiny village).

I had a carrot & orange soup followed by fillet steak (Aberdeen Angus of course) with a port sauce and veggies (not vaggies!! (luckily)).

D had crispy chilli pork followed by English Steak with tagliatelli and gherkins and mushrooms and stuff.

A bit pricey but very very tasty (especially the Tia Maria coffee afterwards)!

Yum Yum

Right, well, um, yeah, perhaps I should not have proclaimed myself the typo king then...

Dinner sounds like it was a success.

I wonder what I shall have...

Hmmm, perhaps a meat pie, w/o the cheese.

Speaking of Vagitarianism and your dinner Vic, I was checking out the pie offerings @ The Old Bowl Inn Bar Menu. Might I ask what in God's name is in the following:

Faggots & Mash with onion gravy - £6.95

Being a strict Vagitarian, I don't believe that I could eat this in good conscience.

Also of dining interest, and related to my Tucson trip, they have a Restaurant there named Furr's. I've been meaning for some time to take in a Furr Burger in the area, I believe I will make this a priority for the trip!
