Bangles.

Has anyone noticed that girls seem to 'jangle' more nowadays...

Every time you encounter a female under the age of 30 (myself excluded - being a sensible lass) they make lots of clicking/clunking/tinkling noises with their arms, on account of numerous bangles.

Is this a Pompey thing or UK/world wide?

Um...  Hadn't really noticed.  I will be sure to keep an ear out for 'em!

I'm female & under 30 & I don't jangle!  Can't say I've noticed that much round here, but I do recall it being a major thing at primary school, so probably about time it came round again.

Yeah.  Many, many moons ago I used to wear loads of those thin silver bangles all up my forearm.  Well, maybe not all the way up.  Maybe only about 20 of them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major

I once said 'major' to a buddy of mine, he said "Dude, this isn't the military, it's choice, man."

I know that I kept reading about the bangle thing coming back - but I have yet to actually see anyone wearing them.

Wasn't going to add that last bit - but then I re-read it and realized that it opened myself up to commentary about how I forgot anything anyway.

A pre-emptive strick that backfired anyway

Pre-Emptive STRIKE - gah - that's what I get for posting without coffee

I refuse to wear pritty much anything on my wrists, watches included.. its to annoying. Only thing thats been on my wrists in years are them 'Make Poverty History' braclet things... Its iriteting but its for a good cause

I do wear beads in my hair a far bit though... so instead of jangling i make a cracking sound as they bounce of my skull! Er... when I'm running about anyway..

I usually wear a wrist watch... But, today I'm sporting a pocket watch. The wrists are bare!
