O'Reilly And Hertzler Sing Klingon Hiphop, Yo
Author: Wayne Hall Date: 07-01-2005
J.G. Hertzler, who played Chancellor Martok in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," and Robert O'Reilly, who portrayed Chancellor Gowron in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "DS9," have released a CD of Klingon hiphop music called "Kling Bling," according to trektoday.com.
Officially presented for the first time at a mini-convention in DŸsseldorf, Germany, that was hosted by the European Elite Force Clan, the CD includes a variety of music, including one song called, "Where da Klingons, baby?"
Hertzler was the headlined guest at the convention. He answered questions from fans in the audience and signed copies of the CD. Also appearing was Reiner Schšne, a German actor who played Esoqq in the "TNG" episode, "Allegiance."
O'Reilly and Hertzler have appeared together or separately as guests at Star Trek and other science fiction conventions for years, recently performing early renditions of Klingons singing rap songs instead of opera. Reportedly, one of their songs had the refrain, "If there's a problem, yo / We'll resolve it / Kill 'em all first / That's the only way to solve it."
The two actors join a prestigious group of Trek stars who have put together albums and CDs of music. They include William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk), who released his rendition of "Mr. Tambourine Man" and most recently "Has Been;" Leonard Nimoy (Mister Spock), who did "The Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins;" Brent Spiner (Data), who put out his CD called "Old Yellow Eyes Is Back;" Tim Russ (Tuvok), who has put together two albums of guitar rock; and as previously reported on syfyportal.com, Cirroc Lofton (Jake Siko), who is completing work on his own rap CD, "Divine Intervention."

Um. Nuff said, I think.
You gotta worry when it gets unveiled in Germany, that utopian country of fab and groovy music, rather than somewhere like the States. I wonder if it'll have a guest spot by Mr David Shouty Hasselhoff on it. Maybe Calvin can give us a full report!
