well, recently i reformated my computer because to be honest it was totally.. annoying me..


anyway..


now that i've got it all back up and running and reinstalled all the crap i was trying to get rid of, there's one little itty bit thing that i cant get right..


when, for example, i visit this forum, as i do maybe once a week - i cant see any of the .gif avatars - as in dds spinning jd (the horror!), my own little dancing SB etc .. i just see the image placeholder with the little red x (altho please note i can see the jd on UA) - anyone got any ideas as to whats not right or what i've not got (in regards to this issue only thank you very much)

Hey Katie, you're not the only one that can't see any of the pictures.  I was shocked not to see the famous spinning jammie!  Although the library pictures seem to be ok, just not the ones that are from URL's

I only saw the infamous spinning Dodger when I went on to XP from '98.  Go figure the difference between them & you've got your fix!

Nah, seriously though, i think that it is a problem with the url images as well, the bored board just doesnt seem to like them


(and the reason you could see them before the reformat, well your pic at least, is because it was cached locally, but you knew that anyway)

Talking of XP - does anyone out there know how to ensure that new IE windows open up in full screen? For some scarey reason mine have started opening up in tiny tiny mode!

k... I got a new one to add...


while I'm at work I can see pics only for the people who selected them on here and not anyone who uploaded..like the spinning dodger n stuff... but when i'm home i can see all the pics people uploaded, but not the ones people selected on here...

I can see all the images selected on this site, but none of the others, like the spinning jammie.  However, I can still see Nate's image

I believe I will have our house Bacon Cheeseburger for lunch tomorrow though. They do a nice job with it where I work, much better than BK or Mickey D's.


15 cups of cafe and no food. Can't do it anymore, used to when I was a young buck.

I work in a hospital - that means packed lunch or we eat what the patients eat


No pizza or greasy treats for me I'll leave that til later chinese/dvd/wine (couldnt see a wine glass)/.... ( )

Joe, I spent 3 weeks in hospital, and I have to say, if what I was in for didn't kill me, the food certainly would


I'll be making my own pizza tonight with Cheese, Chicken Tika, Tatre Sauce, Mayo, and More cheese.

Muhwaaahaaa!!


Bow before my superior knowledge - ive discovered that if you get the link for either Kates' or DDs avatar and paste it into the address bar, then go to the page and back here again their avatar appears, so im right about the locally cached thingie - however you do have to do this each time you go to a page so my advice is Dont bother!


Also the reason that the images about new posts etc arent showing up is because the links are buggered - they are pointing to a file ../.gif


Right, who wants to give me a job?
