The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
I hadn't read Lord of the Rings for about 15 years, so I didn't really miss any of the stuff that they left out. Overall, it was pretty good, I think. The extended versions were better!
Watching all 3 extended versions took up most of one weekend. But so, so, so worth it. Those movies were like every fantasy I ever had as a child realized on screen.
So you never had the fantasy about swimming in a lake of warm chocolate fudge sauce? Or the one where it turned out that you were in fact Batman? Not even the one where you happened to be the long lost king of a mythical kingdom that was on the brink of being plunged into war because of a piece of shiny jewellery? Oh no... hang on...
Cant say I've ever read Lord of Rings all the way though.. i got alittle into the second book before my brain died of bordom and I threw it away.
The Films were pritty fun though! I like the first movie the best, it was very enjoyable.
I've been pondering about Starwars for a while now and I still dont understand it.. Pritty much everyone agrees that the movie was terribly directed.... baddly acted.. some very bad cheezy bits and bobs... so why do you like it?! I'm very confused now.
I'm not even sure we should dignify that with an answer.
Look, lite. Just watch the three original Star Wars movies. Marvel at Han Solo's coolness and Princess Leia's... er jubbliness and Darth Vader's big black helmet and tie fighters and X wings and the Millenium Falcon and the Death Star and Peter Cushing saying 'You may fire when ready' and Ian McDiarmid being a sh*thead at the end of return of the Jedi.
And then ask me why we like it.
Granted, George can't write dialogue and his skills as a director are somewhat limited. But then he didn't direct Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi. And Revenge of the Sith recaptured all that coolness (albeit with bad, bad dialogue) for us! It was great. Trust me on this.
Of course... you didn't like Indy, did you? And I suppose you're gonna tell me that Back To The Future (which was on telly the other day) was rubbish, too!
