The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
Doesn't look like they were after a long-term option, there. There was a lot of talk on the news about the possibilty of a pope from on of the 3rd Worlds counrties - in particular, Latin America.
I'm sure this guy will carry on in much the same style as JP2 - certainly no boat rocking - until such time as whoever they're grooming as his replacement it ready!
Wouldn't it have been cool though if the new Pope had come onto the balcony in a leather jacket and announced that he was gonna be Pope Fonz the First!
agreed - a 'caretaker pope' if there ever was one.
a certain member of my household was hoping for a S.American pope, as she feels slightly aggreived about the lack of condemnation from the last pope for the US's actions in S.America during the 70's and 80's.
yes Fonz the first - that would have been something...
Actually, the youngest pope was supposedly Benedict IX, elected to the Papacy when he was 11 or 12 years old (although there is some disagreement on this - he may have been as old as 20) in about 1032 AD.
Alternatively, it may have been John XII in 955 AD, who was about 18.

Yeah.. a certain member of my family (namely my mother) was so upset by the election of this pope that she is considering finding a new religion until such time as this pope is gone and a new one has taken office.
Are Catholics allowed to take breaks from Catholocism. I don't recall any mention of it on Sunday mornings, but that could just be because I was asleep at the time.
Well you did kinda when you joined the happy clappers... and I did kinda when I decided it was all a bit corrupt really (just my view not the view of the other 900,000,000 or so lapse catholics out of the 1bn) -
They once elected a girl as pope (by accident) and now they carry the pope over the cardinals heads on a chair to "Check" as part of the inauguration thingymebobby doo da....
By the way the Fonz thing rocked - as did he... but Morc was his equal... la la la
