It's this conditioning over time that create a person's perception of the world and shape their interests.

Maletzke's Model of the Mass Media is what I was trying to remember, long time sice I studied it.

Heh.  You know I'm right.  See that blank stare?  That's the product of watching too much rubbish telly, that is!

Its mearly a interesting book that has alittle sex in it.. so what! I may have menchioned something about a girl pleasuring herself with a gun.. but thats all in good fun :). Im addicted to that stuff.. egads.. I can't go by there and not buy something.

And to Copper I'll be fair. I don't HATE Soap Operas. However, since leaving my job, I've been sitting home a lot - and daytime television leaves much to be desired. And I hate that the only things on are usually Soap Operas or one of those Judge Shows. Why people are so obsessed with the Jerry Springer Judicial world is beyond me.

I admit it. I watch a ridiculous amount of television. When you're home alone all day, sometimes you just need to hear another human voice around.. so the TV gets left on a lot as background noise  (Yeah, I know. I'm pathetic.)

Anyway...

I can't say I watch soap operas. I just never could get into them. I tend to stick with the shows I grew up on...

Mornings, I'm addicted to the Lifetime network. Yeah, "television for women" is cheezy as hell, but they show Designing Women and Golden Girls. Good stuff to check out with your morning coffee.

Afternoons it's Ellen and Roseanne followed by MASH, more Golden Girls, then more MASH.

Then I actually leave the house (surprise surprise)

Then I come home and leave on nick at nite... so now we've got Who's The Boss, Murphy Brown, etc.

I think the only new shows I watch are interesting documentaries, animal cops and law & order.

Definately. I read Chicken a while ago. Lot of sex in that and it's quite a quality read.

Well, I decided I was watching far too much crap on TV, just 'cos it was there.  So I decided to do without, completely.  Now I can't stick the telly on, ever, or the TV licensing man will leap out from behind my hedge yelling "Aha!  Caught you!" & give me a £1000 fine.  I buy/rent what I actually want to watch on DVD & I can honestly say I feel much happier with how I now spend my spare time.
