There's an awful lot of money to be made in the movie business! We decided not to give Badman a general cinema release just yet, to give those Hollywood guys a chance. We'd have wiped the floor with 'em!

So... for me, The Dark Knight was far and away my favourite movie of 2008 - not just because it was Batman, but because it was an excellent crime drama and Heath Ledger was every bit as fantatsic as all those gushing reviews said he was.

So there you go. Your turn!

The Dark Knight was very, very good indeed although I can't make it "the best" because of the huge slump in the middle.

I am a huge fan of "In Bruge", clever writing and brilliantly acted.

I'm going to go all controversial though and go for "Sweeny Todd" ... I know it was Burton by numbers visually and cast wise but I can honestly say it was the movie I enjoyed most this year. Getting Sondheim involved was simply the best move that could have been made and left it a truly memorable, re-watchable film.

I haven't watch either of those last two. I have the Blu-Ray of 'Sweeny Todd' and just haven't got round to watching it yet. I've got 'In Bruges' on my Love Film queue, as I've heard it's very good - unfortunately I've had 'The Beast With a Billion Backs' sitting by my telly for weeks and haven't got round to watching that yet, either.
