I sat down watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It was slick, pretty and not very clever at all. But some of the one liners made me laugh quite a lot. Including some of the 'off screen' comments - well written.

Overall good fun and very watchable...

Recently I have watched a couple of movies that entertained me.

Outlander, starring Jesus, Hellboy and Kane from Alien. Basically, the films is about Vikings versus a nasty alien monster. I mean, come on. Vikings versus alien monsters - how could this movie not be AWESOME! Anyway - it turned out to be a very decent movie with some great action and and reasonable amount of unrealistic gore.

Little Miss Sunshine, with Greg Kinnear, Steve Carel (not hamming it up for a change) and Alan Arkin. Now I was expecting to hate this movie. It revolves around a family road trip to California to take their 7 year old to a beauty pageant. Yeah, it made me cringe, too. But I was assured that I would enjoy it and I can reveal that I did! Not twee or rubbish at all, it was actually a well performed family comedy/drama with some really, really funny moments - particularly near the end! You can see this movie without fear of losing your manliness!

As It happens, I watched the first Transformers movie this morning and remembered why it was that I really enjoyed it the first time round!
