I'm getting the band edition for xmas, I've never played any type of instrument and can't sing so not sure how often I'll be "allowed" to play it. For some reason the drums are appealing apparently if you can use the drums on hard mode you can play real drums, anyone played the game or used the drum kit from it???

Unfortunately I cant afford a Wii or video games :( but I applaud you for getting it if it inspires you to learn a proper instrument -

Perhaps if the JDK (who is much wealthier than me) buys the game for his Wii, I will try out the drummer bit - as a grade 5 drummer myself, I will be able to tell you if the claim about being to play drums is true :)

We have the drum kit and all that for the PS3.. I'd imagine the game play itself is the same... the kit is a little awkward because of a known problem with sensitivity on the red and yellow pads (hit it too lightly the red doesn't register, hit the red pad too hard and the yellow pad registers the hit). Other than that, its fun.. but difficult. We're still on "easy" mode - but we are admittedly crap drummer type people. It does take a bit of room though which is one draw back.
