I am agog and aghast

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7746292.stm

This is either the most stupid woman on the planet (even more dumb than those who believe the line "Its OK I've had the snip and I'm a nurse so I KNOW I'm clean, love... sorry what's your name?"

Or there is evil here - probably poor people evil - I'm off to get the crossbow serviced for maximum torque...

Following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court in August, she was given a 48 weeks' suspended jail sentence for concealing the baby's birth. To understate my feelings, neither the charge nor the punishment seem adequate...cry...Ben

"48 weeks' suspended jail sentence for concealing the baby's birth"

Come on!

I mean, it's not as if we're talking about an uneducated child who didn't know she was pregnant and didn't know what was happening to her when she gave birth.  That I could understand.

No, we're talking about a woman who got herself pregnant and wanted to hide away from the consequences of her actions by murdering her baby and getting on with her life as if nothing had happened.

What's wrong with charging her with murdering her son?  That's what she did, that's what she should be convicted of.  furious

And attempting to damage the public sewerage system! though to be fair they may have glossed over that - and my comment might be in bad taste... hang on while I review it...

That's pretty sick she should get life at least.

Although the way things are going pretty soon she wouldn't have been up on charges, she'd have been given a couple of carbon credits and a medal or possibly the nobel peace prize!

HORNER:

Yes, heres what happened. About 18 months ago, at a Kyoto negotiation in Thailand, China suggested that, because of their family planning policy, that they should be given carbon offsets to sell back to Europe and, ultimately, the United States, on the basis that their population would be much larger if they would have all these babies that they aborted. And therefore, they would have a much larger carbon footprint. And we should pay them for these offsets.

HANNITY:

Thats great.

HORNER:

Thats reprehensible. And the European leaders (ph) thought it was great, and the U.N. thought it was great.

HANNITY:

And wheres some of the biggest polluters? Right? Which countries? Right, Chris? Its almost

HORNER:

Well, if you believe that carbon dioxide is a pollutant, then China would be the worlds greatest polluter.

Oh, thats rich. China wants the US to pay them for their carbon credits. Credits that they won from the UN for their successful(ie mandatory) abortion and sterilization campaign. Hey, UN - we have Roe v. Wade - wheres our credits?

Coincidentally, Catfish recently read me an excerpt from New Scientist:

What is the single most effective thing I can do for the environment?

Over a 75-year lifespan, the average European will be responsible for about 900 tonnes of CO2 emissions. For Americans and Australians, the figure is more like 1500 tonnes. Add to that all of humanity's other environmentally damaging activities and, draconian as it may sound, the answer must surely be to avoid reproducing.

...Which was both hilarious and thought provoking at the same time.

I'm saving the planet right now! Ooh - look, I did it again. And again! Whereas Halo, Susan and Aodan obviously don't care and want us all do die in a series of horrible environmental disasters!

Well, I've made even more of a contribution by not only not having children but also wiping people out... I rock!
