Lock away your razor blades

Stressed-out cats and dogs are suffering compulsive disorders because of Britain's high break-up rate between couples, an animal charity has claimed.

The increasing frequency of relationship breakdowns means pets are developing obsessive and compulsive disorders, including self-harming, because of the stress caused by their owners breaking up.

Oh, Lord, whatever next?  weirdface

My dog started going grey when I split with my ex, was very upsetting.
(He then totally blanked him when he saw him, which was hilarious! Never seen a dog blank someone before!)

I can't say what life was like for my two Peke-a-poos during the eleven months I didn't get to see them...But as soon as they saw me when the ex decided to give them back to me, they were excited and happy and they still are every time I see them (even if I've only left the room for a minute)...Ben

My two cats didn't seem to give a toss when I split up with my ex. They always preferred me anyway, so probably just saw her as competition for my attention. Cats are funny like that!

Hmmm, I think dogs are intelligent enough to know whether a person's not seen them because they couldn't or whether it was because they couldn't be arsed.

Smartness is just one of many qualities my dog outweighs my ex on. This is why I'm still with my dog!
