Well, in their defense (sorry guys), Gordon does pay for the entire thing all by himself...and when a thread like that comes along...several others will follow. He was trying to save his pocket without bringing down 4 threads like that later (or the whole chat forum).
I must say that I wouldn't have a job without UA, so I can't badmouth them. They're just boring, is all. When you have no social life and only spend time on computer databases...how would you be!?!?
Bah yeah.. I couldn't log on to the aol board for a while because the net nanny blocked me. So I convinced my friend in IT to give me admin access Couldn't log in from home cuz I had no computer (set it on fire) so I didn't find out about this until today..

actually, no big deal really - but one fine day, in the summer of 2003, i sat idley at work, not knowing what to do (the whole 'do some work' thing didnt cross my mind).. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SEA (as in the little one between NIreland and England) sharon and darren were in a similar situation.. anyway..a dumb joke was posted under the title 'i was bored' .. and it turned into an almost instant chat type discussion b/w darren, sharon and moi - rather fun indeed, others joined in.. it went on a few years.. i mean days.. and in the end the admin had to tell us to shuttup
now, do we?
