Nice - had fun with this

I went down the long barrell route - so I could pick off children from a distance but with a nice big magazine for picking them off when they start running about.

Additionally I fitted the telescopic and LED sights for great accuracy and for more close up work I added the conventional light -

Its a snip at just under $4k !

Well, Jon, that 30-rounder may get the job done but when you're finished you may need to shoot your way out in which case I recommend the C-Mag...I sold these for about $350.00 a copy when I was in the biz...Also that 30-rounder is not really practical to use from the prone position...Keep a couple of 20-rounders in your battle jacket for that purpose...

You also don't show a pistol grip in your configuration (makes it kinda hard to hold)...The ACOG is a nice touch, it's the one Trijicon product I actually like...Think about putting some rail covers on your forend, otherwise you'll think you were holding a sawblade by the end of the day

I see one other thing, you have a fold-down front sight but no rear sight...If your ACOG becomes damaged and you take it off, you won't have any way to aim...Ben

Didnt they only get Capone for tax evasion in the end? Would that preclude him?

Capone was convicted of a federal felony...In today's world that would be more than enough to deny him a legal firearm...When the gangster was on this side of the turf, (and not rotting in hell forever) anybody could buy guns at the local hardware store wiith no background check or paperwork...All it took was money...

But Capone and his associates didn't buy them anyway, they stole them from National Guard armories and government warehouses or whoever happened to have them...Prior to 1935 anybody could legally buy a fully automatic firearm...The National Firearms Act (NFA) made their possession unlawful without a stringent background check...

Thompson submachine guns, for instance, were popular with farmers and ranchers for predator control...They can still be had but it takes some serious paperwork before they can be transferred...Ben

Yeah, but think how much safer you must feel not having a house full of guns like me...And you're protected by a benevolent government from the temptation of just walking down to the corner gun store and buying whatever gun you like and all the ammunition you can carry and taking it home right away...

Yes, you are certainly to be envied...Ben

That's what I mean - I'm sensible and quite wealthy - I should be tooled up to the F**ing teeth. Why, just the other day I had to walk past a poor person, I was very unnerved and would have felt alot better with a nice Glock in my trousers...

Talking of poor people (tenuous link I know) there was a fare dodger in my train carriage this morning who got caught - haha!

She was made to pay for the extra ticket, made to feel a fool as the conductor spoke in a very loud voice so EVERYONE could hear and made to get off the train at the next stop and wait for her ticket to be valid, i.e., wait an hour and a half before getting back on the train so as not to arrive in London before 10am.

I admit to being very disappointed that she wasn't fined as well!  Am I mean? aww

But my point was more whether the poor people know?  Could all end up with a horrible misunderstanding...
