I'm not going to offer an opinion here - open for dicussion but this

Apart from the catastrophic waste of money the Olympics always is, this article reminded me that we are dealing with a different type of government and made me want to ask the question - no rant coming!

Well, to be quite honest boycotting's far too late, they should never have got the games in the first place. Which actually makes me unsure as to whether my "yes - boycott" vote is the better option. Maybe it's better to go the other way & try for as much coverage as possible to raise awareness of what is really going on there. Surely if there's a way to guarantee a journalist will pickup on a story it's by saying "Sorry, you can't report on that"? Let 'm shoot themselves in the foot!

I'm not sure how I feel about a boycott... I'm still trying to get beyond how they were chosen to host in the first place..
