Nice!

Does it block stuff you would normally want to see though?

It did in the beginning before I set all the different configurations... but that only took 10 minutes or so, and then it worked fine.

It's nice. It's an antivirus, popup blocker, spam blocker and firewall all in one. I think it has parental control settings too, but until my dogs start checking out porn, I'm not really worried about that

Its kinda cool - but is very resource hungry, so I would only run on a newish machine...

So you're saying it's a bad idea to put it on the laptop I just inherited that's still running windows 95?

Which reminds me. Does anyone know how hard it would be to put a network card into a laptop?

I don't suppose it has a slot for one?  Probably too old.

Would help if I actually looked for one, right?

I've just never opened up a laptop before, so if it's going to be complicated, I'll just give it to someone else to do

I would be extraordinarily bad.... imagine every molecule in your body blowing apart at the speed of light...

As for the network card - to put one in shouldnt need you to take it to bits... just look for a removable cover on the side somewhere - alternatively look up the model number (underneath on a shiny metal sticker) on the winterweb and some saddo will almost certainly have detailed the spec of the machine.

Important safety tip there, guys.

No normal person would stack laptops like this...
