Favourite Albums ... alphabetically

Got bored ... thought I'd restart JDKs game ... only this time with albums.

Really, really hard!  Had loads for S and bugger all for X ... ah well, here's my "list as of 12:50 on Wednesday March 5th" ... as I know it'll be different tomorrow:

Achtung Baby - U2
Blackbird - Alter Bridge
Catch 33 - Messhuggah
Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd
Exodus - Bob Marley
Freewheelin' - Bob Dylan
Grace - Jeff Buckley
Hand Built By Robots - Newton Faulkner (I know, but I like it a LOT ... "UFO do do do Hello!")
IV - Led Zepplin
Joshua Tree - U2
Korn - Korn
Live And Dangerous - Thin Lizzy
Metallica - Metallica
No Reason To Cry - Eric Clapton
Obscured By Clouds - Pink Floyd
Piper At The Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd
Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi
Ten - Pearl Jam
Unforgettable Fire - U2
Vision Thing - Sisters of Mercy
Wild And Wonderful - The Almighty
X Factor - Iron Maiden (ok, not their best album, but it ain't Coldplay's X&Y!!)
Year Zero - NIN
Zooropa - U2 (ssh ... I like it ... "she wore leeemon!")

Bit U2 heavy .... hey ho.

I think this is gonna be even harder than the movies one. I may have to wait until I get home to have a good root through my CD collection.

Catfish should be pretty good at this as she's got all six million of her cd's ripped into iTunes and just has to list 'em alphabetically! biggrin.gif

Um... I'll get back to you...

They are in alphabetical order, I'll give you that. But they don't really represent the full spread of the alphabet, do they, hmm?

Not that I managed it. It seems that my taste in music (probably considered awful by the world at large - but then the world at large don't have to listen to it, so they can **** right off!) is alpahabetically challenged. Most of my favourites start with 'A' or 'H' or 'O', dammit!

'Americana' - The Offspring
'Century Child' - Nightwish
'Dark Passion Play' - Nightwish
'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' - Foo Fighters
'Foo Fighters' - Foo Fighters
'Get Born' - Jet
'Hybrid Theory'' - Linkin Park
'Ixnay on the Hombre'- The Offspring
'Monkey Kong' - A
'Once'- Nightwish
'Smash'- The Offspring
'There Is Nothing Left To Lose' - Foo Fighters
'Wolf, The' - Andrew W.K.

I happen to be very up with the Foo Fighters and can tolerate the Offspring. Nightwash may well be a load of old festering knackers though...

Sorry mate.. didn't see this til now. Stead, you don't know what you are missing.

Nightwish is full of WIN. Granted, I'm not sure how I feel bout the new lineup.. (I'm a bit of a Tarja purist) It's poppier than I like, but the music continues to be beautiful. 3 of my top 10 favourite songs are Nightwish songs.

You really can't go wrong with them. They've got something for everyone. Beautiful operatic female vocals mixed with growling male vocals, set over fantastic instrumentals and enough backstage drama to satisfy any gossip fiend. ;)

Um, no - I prefer a band to be professional and stand and fall on their songs and performances rather than column inches bought about by manufactured gossip (wink.gif)

I don't care much for the band-drama (I would rather them just play and be done with it) ,but it does lend some insight into some of the newer songs, which is interesting :)

Thought I'd have a go at this seeing as the JDK said it should be a doddle for me with iTunes. Amazingly I found that out of about 500 albums I haven't got any albums beginning with Z at all.

Absolution - Muse
By the Way - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Countdown to Extinction - Megadeth
Debut - Bjork
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace - Foo Fighters
Funk Odyssey - Jamiroquai
Get Born - Jet
Holywood - Marilyn Manson
In Your Honor - Foo Fighters
Jazz - Queen
Kamacode - Lacuna Coil
Leftism - Leftfield
Mesmerize - System of a Down
Neverland - The Mission
Operation Mindcrime - Queensryche
Placebo - Placebo
QE2 - Mike Oldfield
The Red Shoes - Kate Bush
Scarlet and Other Stories - All About Eve
Tales of a Librarian - Tori Amos
Undrentide - Mediaeval Baebes
Vertigo - Metallica
Wide Awake in Dreamland - Pat Benatar
X&Y - Coldplay
You've Come a Long Way Baby - Fat Boy Slim
