Post bollo... er Valentines Day Poll.

So then. The Valentines day nonsense is now done with for another year and I'd like to gather your thoughts on it. You seem to be an intelligent bunch (mostly) and I think I know where the trend is going to lie.

Vote in the most excellent poll. Do it now.

Valentines is a load of old c*ck - thats all I have to say about it really.

Like mothers day or fathers day it was invented by Woolworths (along with Christmas). If you care about the person you're with you'll let them know all year round (in my case by staying away from them - thats the greatest gift I can think to give) -

So there -

That's all - you may go

Good thread JDK

Hmm, although I've gone with the middle option my view is slightly different (more so for Mother's day though). I'm going with a established British tradition, taken over & twisted into commercial nonsense.

Whenever there's an option for cheesecake, cheesecake wins.

I remember caring about Valentine's day when I was about 12 or 13.  It was big deal at the time, HUGE in fact.  And John Trent never did make or buy me a card.  I was devastated. no.gif

Nowadays it's just another day on which I don't receive flowers.  Ah well, the Status Quo is resumed.
