Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
Yeah. Lucky really - I had to take some time off unexpectedly yesterday because Natalia was ill. Working extra today made up for that so I don't have to take holiday for it. The extra 'rush' piece of work just fell nicely with the only day I'd ever have been able to work extra.
The senior boss pops in and says 'I need this nasty nasty bit of work done right now today!'
So Susan says 'That's ok, I can stay on this afternoon and do it'
Senior boss says 'Thank you' in a terribly meaningful way, knowing that our Soot only works 'til 2.
And that's where it should have ended.
But nooooooo. Susan has to then blurt out 'I've got to make up some hours from yesterday anyway!'.
Rule #54: Let the Senior Manager believe that you're doing the extra out of dedication to the job and as a personal favour to her! Never Ever let on that you're making up hours!!!
