Did the JDK mention that we had Sky HD installed on Tuesday.
I think his two days off sick on Wednesday and Thursday were sort of in the hope that he'd be able to watch it. Unfortunately, the viewing card seems to be still in transit. It is supposed to arrive before the thing is installed, but we think it's been caught up in the postal strikes we had. On talking to our postie he said that they had 'ring fenced' the striken post to be delivered as and when to ensure recent post isn't delayed . It didn't arrive this morning either so a weekend with Sky HD .
Also, in other mail related news... a card from the states arrived this morning for us which was posted in CA on 24th Sept! We think this was probably caught in the postal strike as well, but it also had a message stamped on it saying 'MISSENT TO THE PHILLIPINES'....

Well, I'm shocked and appalled by this insinuation! Shocked, I say. And appalled. I was genuinely poorly as evidenced by the vomiting that you had to listen to the other night!

Now now. I didn't definitely say anything to insinuate that you weren't off sick on Wednesday and Thursday. I agree it may have been implied by the way I worded it. However, as rightly pointed out, I'm the witness to the strangled noises coming from the bathroom early Tuesday morning
I was just stating a fact... you were hoping that they sky card would arrive for your days off sick...
Turns out they 'forgot' to send out the viewing card! This is despite assurances that they had, in fact, sent out the viewing card. I now have to wait 3-5 days for one to arrive.
But JDK, rise above it, you have the upper hand - we'll be watching DVDs and I'll be cooking for you and Kazz on Wednesday - cottage pie or chilli or something equally fab while he's languishing at home. ALONE. Uninvited.
