Good Grief!

Well, it's 9:00pm, and I'm just leaving the office! And I didn't really spend that long on my reading test.

Best of all, my boss needs me in early to finish up on an analysis that some random dude out west is going to present!

That's really bad, mate.
Do you get overtime for that or a nice fat bonus? Or did you just get more grief in the morning?

Geesh, things must be bad if you're on the board this early in the day.  I say again, poor Nateykins.

What about empowerment (greif) or personal development (grief).  Or dedication (grief) to the company (grief, grief, griefy grief)?

Yep, all of that and a broken DB, nice!

Well, the storm seems to be calming. And just had Shepherd's Pie for lunch.

Isn't it weird that the more you look at some words, the more convinced you are that they don't look as if they're spelt correctly? Grief looks just plain wrong to me now...

Not sure what Cottage Pie is. Here's the Shepherd's variety looks like:

You need a better vegie mix than just corn though!

mmmmm.   Cottage pie....  My all time favourite meal.

Shepherd's pie is exactly the same but with dead sheep in it.

What's all this recipie business, though?  There's a recipie for Cottage Pie?  Nah. Rubbish.  Just ask Vic.

mmmmmmmm cottage pie!!

Cottage pie has beef in, Shepherd's pie has lamb in.  Fry the mince first (till it's brown) and if it's very fatty, pour off some of the fat (otherwise it just sits on top and makes it all greasy).  I always also put onions, carrots, sometimes tomato (if there's some in the fridge that need used), salt, pepper, water (to make the gravy!) if the meat isn't very good, or not too tasty, stick in a stock cube too (one relevant to the meat type you are using!) peas are good in it also.  Cook it for long enought that the mince is nice and cooked (about an hour is good) but you don't want the carrots to be soggy, so sometimes, I only put the veg in half an hour before the end (unless I'm in a hurry, then it only gets 30 mins on the hob anyway so I just stick it all in at the beginning!).

Then stick it in a casserole and dollop loads of mashed potato on top (obviously mashed with cream and butter and pepper and salt!).  For extra yumminess (especially if cooking for JDK) put grated mature cheddar cheese on top and stick it in the oven on fairly high for 20 mins - nice!

Hey presto cottage/shepherd's pie.  I'm sure there's other ways to do it that are just as tasty - this is how my Granny and my Mum did it and I learned from them!!

Baked beans.

You forgot to mention the baked bean option.
