Sad sad news today friends - Superman star Christopher Reeve has died at his New York home from a sudden heart attack. He was paralysed in a horse riding accident in 1995.
The star of the first blockbuster movie I ever saw at the cinema and the first film to EVER win an oscar for Special effects was 52.
As well as his film career he inspired thousands of paralysed people by raising the awareness of stem cell research and his hopes for its use in treating paralysis he had promised the world that one day he would walk again.
He will be missed.
