I took two photos today and these are parts of them close up. What are they?

I'll answer any closed questions about them!

Is the first one a piece of metal (like sheet metal) and its rivet or something like it?

The second one I can't even begin to guess.. i've never seen a turny thing (i really wanna say knob) that said soft/hard like that.. (which is why I didn't wanna say knob..or am I the only person who went all pervy on that... weirdface.gif)

Yes, the first one is a piece of flat metal... but it's not really a rivet as such.

For image 2 I chose that part of the object for that particular reason biggrin.gif

#1: pizza cutter reflecting a wall
#2: the 'hardness' knob (I'm not scared) on a pair of secateurs

(not sure if I'm right about #1 but have a good feeling about #2)

Spot on! You da man! We were hoping that the reflected brick would sow confusion amongst you, but you were too clever for our cunning ruse!

It is a pair of shears (plus Darren's feet under the table in his girly shoes evileye). But I think Santa wins as these could be classed as hedge trimmers as well... I do trim hedges with them!

So... now I think somebody else should have a go...
