The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
I've pulled a sicky today... well I could have gone to work but I would have not put my best in so I thought what the hell I'm gonna stay in bed and recover a bit...
... the postman arrived at 8am and I opened my mail... in the post was a P45 from my employer
So, I have yet to find out the exact reason behind the P45, but I think it might be something to do with my employer becoming separate from the parent company on 31st March. I am somehow quietly hoping that I've been made redundant, though... I need a push to find a new job... one that I enjoy rather than just doing for the money! But I think, it would be completely mad for my employer to make me redundant as of the 31st March (the date on the P45), but then not tell us about it and still pay me a monthly wage on 13th April.

I've never done that, but I've had that done to me a few times (assistants and what not going to lunch and then never returning - that makes me sound horrible to work for but it wasn't me I swear.. it was MY boss that drove them out)
This form though.. what's on it? I don't mean to hijack, I'm just curious what would be on that form..is it like an exit interview type thing?
The P45 I have just received has 4 parts - Part 1, 1A, 2 and 3.
The first part has been ripped off as this is kept by my previous employer. Part 1A is for me to keep, and parts 2 and 3 I give to any new employer.
There are not a lot of details on it. It has my national insurance number (like your social security number), my full name, my tax code, my employer's address and the amount I earnt and the amount i paid in tax, in the last tax year. Parts 2 and 3 allow the new employer to register your details with the inland revenue (the people who we pay our taxes to).
What concerns me slightly is that if this form was sent because we had all changed employers then why have I been sent parts 1A, 2 and 3, rather than just part 1A. It would make sense to have dealt with parts 2 and 3 for the whole company in one job lot rather than getting us to do it individually ... I'm confused
Maybe - and I know this a stretch of the imagination - but maybe your HR department is populated by useless people suffering from server mental retardation. I heard that this is more common than one would expect.

True - I usually refer to HR as Human Remains rather than Human Resources!
He said he left too early for the postman, so he didn't know if he had one. But I know he'll probably phone his wife and get her to open his post. If he has a P45 as well then he'll do the necessary and check it out... he loves a scandal or finding out that somebody's made a mistake!
But to be honest, I'm so uninterested in my work at the moment that I somehow don't care...
