Free Suppers

Last night, at my favourite pub, they mistakenly produced an order of asiago cheese dip, and buffalo chicken fingers. Needless to say, I scarfed those down immediately.

Tonight, the same pub is having a work party, which I am invited to, at which they are serving free food and free beverages! So again, more free suppers.

The only thing better than a good supper, is a good, free supper.

I once went a whole week at work having my lunch provided in either internal or external meetings. I estimate it saved me at least £15 over the course of the week.

One of the proudest achivements of my life to date, which I do intend to trot out to an interviewer when next applying for a job.

Totally dude. The bar is paying for it. No hitches, no questions asked.

I once had weeks and weeks of all my meals, lunch and supper paid for by the company while doing a consulting gig for the company in various parts of California, including San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.

That was very cool!!

Dammit.  Y'know for a moment there, I was jealous of your jet-setting, fe meal receiving lifetyle.  But then I remembered that I have a total of 7 weeks holiday to take this year (not including public and bank holidays) and I realised that I was the better (off) man.

I may be going to California later this year.  Catfish has a wedding to attend and I plan to take advantage of it!

Apparently the wedding is taking place in the Napa Valley.  I don't know much about California but I do want to go to San Fransisco if it's possible.  What's in Santa Monica?

We may also be spending a week in Washington - Catfish also has cousins there.  International Spy museum, here I come!

santa monica has the best shopping street ever (that's more for catfish) and beautiful beaches - and the famous 'ocean avenue' that you may have heard of in multiple songs.. or not

it's just pretty (and close to Malibu, downtown LA, Hollywood.. etc etc)

A lot of my time in California was spent in Century City, in downtown LA. It's a business district, right beside Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Very cool!

yeah, all of the food I've ever eaten there (apart from a sneaky trip to Taco Bell or two) has been free - yay business trips!!

you should got to Gladstone's on the outskirts of Malibu, the best seafood place ever - EVER! (and you never know who you might see!)

My free supper was awesome, btw. Sandwiches, hot wings, pepperoni rolls... The works!!
