School Dinners

I had almost forgotten what school dinners tasted like...until today that is.  I have to say, it was pretty ok, I had Jacket potatoe, beans, cheese, chips and apple pie for desert, all for £1.53 which I was pretty shocked at, I don't know whether I get staff discount or not, but I aint complainin.  What do y'all remember, and I understand if it was just toooooo long ago to remember, not saying anyone here is very old or anything, but ya know...

On the same lines, I hear that Vic won't go near an eating establishment that doesn't serve Black Pudding with breakfast.

Dazza - am I human?

By the way, I'm half Scottish (my Mother is a Scot).  I LOVE Haggis - tastes like sausage - it's mostly oatmeal anyway, there's nothing really dodgy in there.  Does make a difference though what it comes in.  Over here in the supermarkets it's generally in a plastic bag but if you go to a proper scottish butcher, it's in a sheep's stomach - much more flavour that way.

To be honest, what goes into my tummy plays a HUGE part in my life, I'll eat or drink pretty much anything (that is suitable for human consumption) except mushrooms - they are definately satan's work, just fungus let's face it, feel like slugs (and I'm allergic - phew!).

We get black pudding in the canteen at work on Fridays with the breakfast - me and my boss go down there and fill up on the stuff - yummy!

What about white pudding then?

I feel this post unfairly discriminates against those of us who didn't have school dinners!

Flavour?!

Hey, I'm all for Scotch eggs, deep fried pizza and Scotch Whiskey, but Haggis, eh-eh.

Your post is unfairly self discriminating? Interesting technique Sharon!

I didn't have school dinners, either.  Got really hungry some days.

Vic is human, I am glad to say, despite her odd (and sometimes gross) taste in foodstuffs, floaty sleeves and shiny things.

Well I'm angling for a new title.  I'm bored of being 'So Bored It Hurts' and would like something fresh & new.  Any ideas?
