it's not going to hit me directly, but it seems im going to get a little hurricane mixed with a little tropical storm. should be here in a few hours. they've already closed a bunch of things down and i think they evacuated the county where my grandma lives (She'd be approximately where the "H" is on the map, but she's a snowbird so shes in NY right now).

One thing I noticed about hurricanes down here... when people board up their windows, they write messages to the hurricane on the boards like "Go home Charley" and whatnot. I wonder when they'll get the message that hurricanes are illiterate?

Well theres a good chance my power will be out for a while... so, miss me and I'll catch you all when there's light again.

I didn't get it as bad as some. Heavy rains and wind mostly... and some minor tree damage in the apartment's parking lot. No tidal waves here, and I hear the tornado touched down in the NW part of my county... which is not where I am.

Seems the west coast and Orlando got the brunt of it. I hear my aunt (who is temporarily in Orlando visiting her daughter) is still out of power. Haven't heard from her yet, so I hope everything's ok.

Electricity seems to be fine now, but the cable still can't make up it's mind whether or not it wants to work properly.
