I've set up a webcam in my lounge to... erm... monitor the activity of my cats.


Rochester has been asleep on the sofa for the last 2 hours.  Lazy basserd.

Yep, here's the problem:



  1. Make sure you are not using a proxy server. Check your browser settings and disable the proxy if nessesary.
  2. If you're browsing from work, check if you are behind a firewall. If so, ask the system administrator to check if port 2047 and 2048 are "open". These ports have to be open to let the video stream through.

Been a bit dull on the old webcams today.  Neither of my cats have lowered themselves to appearing on screen, and despite his promises to the contrary, Stead's computer monitor didn't get up and dance...
