The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
So... another poll. Yes, that's two in one day. Try to contain yourselves!
We put the clocks back an hour over the weekend (for foreign readers, it's because we switched from British Summer Time to Greenwich Mean Time).
The use of BST for daylight savings seems to be a bit of a hot topic this week in the office, so it's time for the denizens of the JDBB to vote and lay this controversial topic to rest!
Incidentally, you'll find a history of Daylight Savings here. Terribly interestin' stuff.
I really dont see the point of it so much now - I think we should just leave it alone - particularly as my Sky+ box doesnt compensate and I had to reset all my programmes to tape (tivo for our US friends)

Interestingly, despite showing the wrong times, my Sky+ box happliy recorded sunday night's programming at the correct time without any intervention from me!
I mean, it's nice that it's not pitch black when I wake up anymore, but it does suck when it's said shade of black (pitch, that is) at 2 friggin 30. Ok, not quite that early, but it feels like it. Winter days are incredibly short here in the Northwest (I'm considerablyish further north than where I more or less grew up. Iowa. For those of you that care. What's that? No one cares? Um, then never mind).
Sunset in the UK is officially at about 4.30 this afternoon. It will only get earlier form here on in.
As it is, with BST over and sone with, it's only just getting light when I leave hoem in the morning. It'll be dark by the time I get home. In two or 3 weeks, we just won't see daylight during the week...
That happened once. I found myself in the unusual position of not attending a lunchtime meeting or dealing with a conveniently timed lunchtime emergency. It was a traumatic experience.
When I move offices later this month, I suspect that it will be too dangerous to go outside.
Indeed. In fact since you upped and left the Galleries my quest for comiccy goodness has become more and more arduous. Look at this:
My Office is circled in red. The pale blue route shows the three or four minute walk to Kathies as was. Then our Joe cocked it all up by closing the shop and I had to go to the flea infested and rather mucky Forbidden Planet (next door to the ubiquitous Just Beauty... which was anything but) indicated by the orangey colour.
This, I will admit was rather closer, but kinda smelled vaguely of cat wee. Then they announced that they were gonna knock most of the centre of Bristol down, so Forbidden Planet upped and moved. Not down the road or round the corner, but to the other side of bloody Bristol. It's a 25 minute walk to it's new location, which is in the yellow circle. The route is red!
In a few weeks, I'm moving offices to Arseminster (green circle) and I'm going to have to follow the green route to ForbiddenPlanet. I'll have to fight through the chavs and 'jobseekers' to get out of the area, too. It's gonna take all day. Basserds!
Kathies is now the location of a ponceyartshop that sells paintings of stuff. They're not very good. I went in there when it first opened and asked if they had any paintings of Batman. They weren't amused.
