so, the bbc are saying that a spoof video, made by some of their top journalists and senior whosits was 'ill judged' because of its content - it was a 'going away' present for BBC London's assistant director.. anyway, the full story is here

I have to say, having now watched it, it seemed pretty harmless.  I'm not convinced that the bearded arab was anything more than a bearded arab, but even if it is supposed to be Osama, who cares?  I particularly liked the reference to camel poo.  Shame the song was so craply recorded.

The only bit I thought was excessive was the backdrop of missile launchers etc - I dont like people making light of that sort of thing because each time one of those things landed, people lost their lives - and I dont think we should forget that.
