For 10 years?  I honestly think it's been that long since I held a proper conversation with the guy.


He never responds to e-mails, messages on his answer phone ('cos he never answers the phone) or even old fashioned letters.  He only ever phones me when he wants something.  The last time was just before his 30th birthday.  He phoned up and said "I'm gonna be thirty next week" - we exchanged a few pleasantries about the weather and then he announced that he had to go to the pub.  Bye then.  I suspect the phone call was just to make sure that I didn't forget his birthday! 


Now my little brother is a different story.  Phones up constantly for no reason at all.  (He once phoned up all excited because his experiments with stout had culminated in the blackest poo he'd ever seen.  He phoned from the toilet to tell me that.)  good lad!

I would spend time on your little brother mate - at least he phones coz he wants to share something with you.


As for the older one - it works both ways...... you know what to do.......
